Definitions

• ECTOPLASM:

  Ectoplasm resembles a gaseous cloud. Sometimes appearing wet and thick, other times appearing as a light cloud. Click here for an example of Ectoplasm.

• ORB'S:

  An ORB is condensed spirit energy. This condensed energy takes the shape of a ball or ORB. We have pictures of these ORBS breaking up and releasing energy. I will upload this picture soon. Sometimes ORBS are self illuminating, other times it is only illuminated by a flash. Click the picture to see an example of an ORB.

  

• ANOMALOUS:

  Anomalous is the definition for something out of the ordinary. For example when we pick up E.V.P on Electro Magnetic tape we are picking up an anomalous voice, it is something that should not be there but yet it is.For an example of E.V.P click here.

  Theories

  The G.I.S has many theories on different aspects of investigating ghosts. Such as what E.V.P is, and how ghosts appear on film and or video.

  E.V.P

  • Stands for Electronic Voice Phenomena.

  • Definition of E.V.P:

    When a voice is found on magnetic tape that is anomalous to the situation being recorded.

  • The process of recieving the voice on tape:

    We and other researchers believe these anomalous voices are embedded on the tape using electro magnetic fields or EMF's.

  Ghost Photography

  • This is when we see anomalous images on film.

  • How we capture these images on film is simple, ghosts reflect light. Thus all we need is a bright flash.

  • How you can capture ghosts on film:

    All you need to take ghost photographs is a haunted place, low light for background, and a really bright flash on your camera. You will need to examine the room you are photographing very thoroughly for any reflective objects such as metal, glass, etc. This could cause a flare that may be mistaken for an anomaly.

  Infra Red Video

  • We use video cameras that have Infrared capability .

  • We believe this helps us see the energy emitted by spirits. This energy seems to reside in a different light spectrum.

  • How this works:

    An Infrared beam is emitted off of the camera. This is reflected off of the spirit energy and bounced back to the video camera lens.

  • Observations:

    We have noticed that this spirit energy is aware of this Infrared light even though we cannot see it.

    Case and point:

    While investigating a mausoleum we observed through an Infrared video camera a fairly large ORB exiting a vault that holds bodies in the wall. This ORB came out of the vault and floated past another member standing in front of the camera. It floated in front of the camera for about two seconds until we turned the Infrared beam on. It then shot off to the right of the camera. Thus showing it was aware of this beam.
